Escape to Doomben Ridge — Your Country Retreat in the Scenic Rim

Nestled in the heart of Beechmont, QLD, Doomben Ridge is a charming countryside farmhouse offering the perfect escape for those seeking peace, nature, and fresh mountain air. Set on the stunning Scenic Rim, our property is surrounded by native trees, abundant wildlife, and rolling hills — a true haven for guests wanting to unwind and reconnect.

Accommodating up to six guests, the farmhouse sits on three private acres with fenced horse paddocks and sweeping rural views. You’ll often spot our friendly farm animals roaming nearby, and from time to time you may see Chrissy working with horses at her equine facility located at the bottom of the property — a lovely glimpse into authentic farm life.

We offer easy self check-in so you can settle in and start relaxing right away.

Your Farmhouse Stay

Our cosy three-bedroom guest house is thoughtfully furnished to ensure a comfortable and memorable stay. Enjoy evenings on the veranda while taking in the peaceful surrounds, or curl up inside by the wood fireplace with a glass of wine. The home includes all the comforts you’d expect:

Step outside to your private entertaining deck complete with lounges, a six-seater outdoor dining table, festoon lighting, BBQ, fire pit and a viewing deck perfect for sunset drinks. A second large fire pit with bench seating sits at the bottom paddock for those magical star-filled nights.

Although we live in a separate cottage to care for the animals, the guest house is tucked away among the trees, offering complete privacy. You may see us around the property — feel free to say hello! We’re always happy to help if needed.

About Us

Doomben Ridge was created in 2021 by Rob and Chrissy with a simple vision: to offer a warm, secluded country getaway where guests can relax, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of life on the mountain. With fresh renovations and thoughtful touches throughout, the property is designed for comfort and charm. Rob specialises in photography and media, while Chrissy operates her equine business from the property. Together, they also own Fyrefly Retreat, another popular Beechmont escape.

Whether you’re visiting for a wedding, a family holiday, a romantic getaway or just a quiet weekend away, Doomben Ridge welcomes couples, families and small groups looking for a peaceful country escape.

Doomben Ridge Farm House is ideally positioned between the mountains of Springbrook and Tamborine. We are:

– 1 hr 20 min from Brisbane
– 50 min from the Gold Coast
– 18 min from Canungra

Sleep

Doomben Ridge guest house sleeps 6 guests comfortably, offering three bedrooms; two queen size beds and two king single beds. All beds offer double pillows (one soft and one firm) with luxurious bed linen, doonas and plush towels.
Each room has wardrobes with hanging storage.

Dine

The kitchen is well equipped and contains all major appliances and cooking utensils that you would need. The kitchen offers a full size fridge/freezer, electric 4 burner cooker/oven/grill, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pod machine, toaster, kettle, crockery, cutlery, cheeseboards and more! Also has an out side gas BBQ.

Bathe

The house offers one bathroom containing a bath/shower in one, vanity and separate toilet. Lather up with the complimentary luxury toiletries and dry off with soft plush towels provided.

Relax

Enjoy a tranquil evening on the private verandah overlooking the surrounding hills, while listening to the wildlife that reside around you, or curl up inside by the wood fireplace with a glass of wine and enjoy the complimentary wi-fi. The house also has two smart TVs with Netflix (one in the lounge room and the other in the main bedroom.

Entertain

On the veranda, take in the view and fresh mountain air while you enjoy a beverage or meal sitting at the bar or strike up a game of darts! Take a stroll around the property and visit the chickens and horses or enjoy a swing under the jacaranda tree to really switch off from the routines of daily life. Help yourself to our selection of card and board games.

Located at the side of the house there is a decked outdoor entertaining area with lounge chairs and a table which seats 6. It has hanging festoon lights as well as an outside fire pit, BBQ and viewing deck perfect for sundowners!

Down the road past the stables, at the back of the property there is a large outside paddock fire pit with complimentary firewood, setting and solar festoons.
